Abstract
A manual procedure for simple detection of cane sugar honey is describ ed in terms of a visual reaction of honey, water and diethyl ether mix tures. Analyses of 30 samples of genuine honey were contrasted with 30 samples of cane sugar-honey from Venezuela, and discriminated correct ly by the proposed method.
