PHOTOPRODUCTION AT HERA - A SUMMARY OF THE DISCUSSIONS OF THE WORKINGGROUP ON PHOTOPRODUCTION

A summary of the discussions of the working group on photoproduction i s presented. The main area of discussion was on aspects of photoproduc tion which might shed light on the quark and gluon structure of the ph oton. This led us into discussions of the direct and resolved contribu tions to the cross section, the role of vector meson dominance, the cu rrent theoretical status of large-p(T) studies, minijets and the total cross section. There was also a session devoted to the reaction gamma p --> V X (V = vector meson) at large momentum transfer and another de voted to the Pomeron structure function and its relevance for HERA.
