CISPLATIN-BASED CHEMOTHERAPY FOR TESTICULAR CANCER IN A PATIENT WITH SPINAL MUSCULAR-ATROPHY - A CASE-REPORT

Metastatic germ-cell tumors of the testis are highly curable with cisp latin-based chemotherapy. Although cisplatin-based chemotherapy is gen erally well tolerated and rarely causes severe neurotoxicity, there is little information to guide the treatment of patients with neuromuscu lar disorders. The authors report the successful treatment of a patien t with testicular cancer and spinal muscular atrophy, an inherited deg enerative neuromuscular disease.
