Abstract
Condensation of 2(4-[2-(diethylamino) ethoxy] phenyl) ethanol tosylate with a large excess of 1,4,8,11 tetraazacyclotetradecane (CYCLAM) in DMF gave (4-[2-(diethylamino)ethoxy]-phenyl)-ethyi-1,4,8,11 -tetraazac yclotetradecane: (4) under bar which was isolated and purified through its Cu-complex, [Tc-99m] (4) under bar was prepared (80% yield - 99% radiochemical purity) using a commercial Sodium [Tc-99m] pertechnetate generator. Compound (4) under bar is made up of a nitrogen crown ethe r analog moiety allowing [Tc-99m] labelling, mono N-functionalized wit h an aryl-alkyl ether group previously labelled with [I-125] and studi ed in detail.
