Abstract
A convenient synthesis of high specific activity [1-C-14] 3-N,N-dimeth ylaminopropylamine <(10)under bar> is described. The reaction between [C-14] KCN and N,N-dimethyl bromoacetalnide (7) under bar afforded [ni trile-C-14] N,N-dimethyl cyanoacetamide. Stepwise reduction of (8) und er bar provided 99% pure <(10)under bar> in 59% overall radiochemical yield. The specific activity was 53.3 mCi/mmol.
