Abstract
The influence of the strength and the sign of the interface coupling b etween a ferromagnetically and an antiferromagnetically ordered film o n the layer magnetizations is investigated by a Green-function method. Quantum-mechanical Heisenberg spins on a bcc and on a sc lattice are considered. In both cases interesting quantum effects appear at low te mperatures at the surface and at the interface of the films.
