Abstract
The presence of strong vortex fluctuation effects in two families of l ayered high-temperature superconductors (HgBa2CuO4+delta and Tl2Ca2Ba2 Cu3O10+delta) is established from experimental studies of the equilibr ium magnetization in the mixed state using the theory of Bulaevskii et al. Detailed information is obtained within the framework of this the ory on the London penetration depth lambda(ab), upper critical field H (c2), and Ginzburg-Landau parameter kappa(ab) (With magnetic field per pendicular to the copper oxide planes) of these materials.
