Luteolin-4'-O-neohesperidoside, i.e. luteolin-4'-O-[alpha-(L-rhamnopyr
anosyl-(l --> 2)-beta-D-glucopyranoside)] has significant anti-inflamm
atory action. It is more potent than ibuprofen. Its antinociceptive ac
tivity is less pronounced when compared with its anti-inflammatory act
ivity. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
