Abstract
The author analyzed the life in the movement practicing the Indian hab its. She contacted the members of the movement and she investigated fi fteen persons of both the sexes. As the leading method, the individual psychological scheme of Adlerian interview adapted for this investiga tion was used. When analyzing the needs of Hare Krishna movement membe rs the author started from the motivation theory of American psycholog ist A. H. Murray. The results of psychological observations, case stud ies and the illustrative materials can form the basis for the directed investigation of religious movements like the Hare Krishna movement, eventually of so-called sects.
