Abstract
O-18-Labeling experiments and PM3 calculations show that the observed regioselectivities on mesoionic 4-trifluoroacetyl-1,3-oxazolium-5-olat es by nucleophilic attack of NH3 and H2O are rationally understood on the basis of the HSAB theory. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All right s reserved.
