Abstract
The stereoselective acetylation of -butyldimethylsiloxy)-2,4-dimethyl- 1,5-pentanediol by vinyl acetate in the presence of Candida rugosa lip ase in organic medium gave the corresponding (2R, 3R, 4S) mono ester i n high enantiomeric purity (ee = 97%).
