A switch-mode dc-to-ac inverter based on a dc-to-dc converter topology
using a novel nonlinear robust control to generate a sinusoidal outpu
t waveform is presented. The control scheme is based on simultaneous f
eedback of the output voltage and feedforward of the input voltage and
inductor voltage. As a result, the output voltage remains dynamically
unchanged when there are large disturbances in input voltage pr load
current. The nature of the control law is explained, Computer simulati
on results show the robustness and fast dynamical response of the cont
rol system. The experimental results are presented to verify the analy
sis and demonstrate the feasibility of the control strategy.
