Abstract
The use of lasers in pediatric dermatology became widespread following the theory of selective photothermoysis and the development of lasers based on this principle. This has allowed for the treatment of many p reviously untreatable or difficult-to-treat conditions in childhood. T his article summarizes the current literature detailing the laser trea tment of vascular and pigmented lesions in children.
