Abstract
Animal models of ABPA provide an intriguing insight into disease patho genesis across various species. In the mouse, the availability of gene -targeted animals allows for a detailed dissection of critical cells a nd cytokines that mediate immunopathology. T cells are the central eff ecters that ultimately induce lung pathology and airway hyperreactivit y in murine ABPA.
