Three alpha,beta-poly(L-aspartic acid) derivatives-cis-platin conjugat
es were synthesized by conjugation of alpha,beta-poly(L-aspartic acid)
, (alpha,beta,L-aspartic acid)-[alpha,beta,L-(N-hydroxyethyl)aspartami
de] copolymer and spartamide]-[alpha,beta,L-(N-succinyl)aspartamide] c
opolymer with cis-dichlorodiammine platinum( II) respectively. The pol
ymer carriers were characterized by IR, GPC and intrinsic viscosity. T
he influence of pH on the conjugation reaction was studied. Cytotoxici
ty of polymer-cis-platin conjugates was tested against cervix uteri He
la cells in vitro, The cytotoxicity of polymer-cis-platin conjugates i
ncreases with the increase of concentration of the congugates, but low
er than cis-platin of the corresponding concentration.
