Mt. Bowser et al., ANALYTE-ADDITIVE INTERACTIONS IN NONAQUEOUS CAPILLARY-ELECTROPHORESIS- A CRITICAL-REVIEW, TrAC. Trends in analytical chemistry, 17(7), 1998, pp. 424-434
This article reviews the recent developments in nonaqueous capillary e
lectrophoresis and discusses the effect of the solvent on analyte-addi
tive interactions. When nonaqueous solvents are used, solvophobic inte
ractions are generally weaker than those in water; therefore, those ad
ditives that can change the analyte mobility through electrostatic or
donor-acceptor interactions should be further explored. (C) 1998 Elsev
