Abstract
Three types of hydrodynamic oscillations that may be revealed from air glow observational data are considered. These are i) planetary waves a nd large-scale turbulence, ii) gravity waves, iii) acoustic waves. The paper concerns the possibility to distinguish between the three types of observed oscillations. The possibility is shown to depend on the o bserved wave period and wavelength.
