Abstract
Laplace transform was used to solve a linearized non-stationary system of equations in Boussinesq approximation for viscous stratified fluid in a channel with moving walls or in a vessel with slowly moving side . The solution is analytical over all physical parameters and is the f irst approximation of the known solution for the case of wall at rest. Similarly to the case of boundary at rest the boundary flow splits in to viscous and density boundary layers whose thickness squares are pro portional to Schmidt number. Salt discharge evolution and also the beh avior of dynamic and baroclinic components of vorticity are analysed. Applicability condition for the solution is found.
