P. Bruelle et al., BENEFITS-RISKS RATIO OF ANALGESIA, AND MODALITIES OF MONITORING OF THE VARIOUS TECHNIQUES FOR POSTOPERATIVE ANALGESIA, Annales francaises d'anesthesie et de reanimation, 17(6), 1998, pp. 502-526
This review aimed to determine the benefits-risks ratio of postoperati
ve analgesia. The various agents usually used for intravenous postoper
ative analgesia (paracetamol, NSAID's, opioids), and the techniques fo
r postoperative analgesia (PCA, epidural, perinervous block) are analy
sed. The rules proposed for the monitoring of postoperative analgesia
are considered. (C) 1998 Elsevier, Paris.
