Abstract
Vapor-liquid equilibria (VLE) calculations in binary asymmetryc system s containing n-alkanes were performed using two equations of state (EO S). The equations are the General Equation of State (GEOS) and the pen g-Robinson (PR). Good results were obtained with the both equations in calculation of VLE in systems with carbon number C less than or equal to 16. For systems with higher asymmetry (C less than or equal to 16) , calculations based on the PR-EOS led to better results.
