T. Takatsuji et al., RESTRICTION ON THE ARRANGEMENT OF LASER TRACKERS IN LASER TRILATERATION, Measurement science & technology, 9(8), 1998, pp. 1357-1359
Laser trilateration is an effective technique for measuring three-dime
nsional coordinates. Taking advantage of a fourth laser tracker, the p
ositions of all four laser trackers can be determined by a self-calibr
ation algorithm. We show a restriction on the arrangement of laser tra
ckers, namely, no tracker must exist on the plane defined by the other
three trackers. A method of evaluating the measurement results is als
o discussed.
