In this paper. the mechanical and rheological properties, and the micr
ostructure of the starch-glycerine blend prepared by a single-screw-ex
truder have been studied. Considering the rheology of the blend under
different temperatures, we calculated the activation energy of the flu
id of the blend to be 122.5 KJ/mol. Through DSC analysis, the equation
describing the relation between the percentage of glycerine (B) and t
he glass transition temperature T-g of the blend was established: T-g
= 105.18-96.06.B.
