Na. Vishnyakova et al., ENERGY-DISSIPATION OF MECHANICAL OSCILLATORS INDUCED BY AN ELECTRIC-FIELD APPLIED TO THE SURFACE OF AN OSCILLATING BODY, Technical physics letters, 24(7), 1998, pp. 510-512
Various factors influencing the damping of the torsional oscillations
of a pendulum are discussed. Damping caused by dissipative surface dif
fusion processes or charge transfer of surface states is considered to
be the most probable. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
