Abstract
Mossbauer spectra of various human ferrous hemoglobins in different li gand forms demonstrated some features such as non-lorentzian line shap e for oxyhemoglobins, narrower line width for carbonmonoxide, and vari ations of quadrupole splitting for different hemoglobins. These featur es were considered in relation to the variations of quadrupole splitti ng and heme iron stereochemistry in different hemoglobins as well as i n non-equivalent subunits of hemoglobin tetramer.
