Abstract
A goat was brought in because of repeated swallowing problems and regu rgitation. Thoracic radiography and contrast oesophagography showed a compression of the thoracic oesophagus. The cause was an abscess, whic h was opened by bouginage. Thereafter the animal did not show any more symtoms. The reason for the abscess was an infection with Corynebacte rium pseudotuberculosis.
