Replacement reactions of chloroantimony(III) bis(dialkyldithiophosphat
es) with sodium/ammonium dialkyldithiocarbamates in 1:1 molar ratio in
anhydrous benzene yielded dialkyldithiocarbamatoantimony(III) bis(dia
lkyldithiophosphates) of the type [(RO)(2)PS2](2)SbS2CX [where, R = Pr
-1, Bu-1 and X = N(Me)(2), N(Et)(2) and N(CH2CH2)(2)]. Reactions betwe
en chloroantimony(III) bis(dialkyldithiophosphates) and triethylamine
in 1:1 molar ratio in anhydrous dichloromethane yielded addition compo
unds of the type [(RO)(2)PS2](2)SbCl . NEt3 [where, R = Pr-1 and Bu-1]
. These newly synthesised derivatives have been characterised by eleme
ntal analysis, melting points as well as IR, H-1 NMR and P-31 NMR spec
tral studies.
