Abstract
We report a systematic study of the Hall mobility and the carrier conc entration of a conjugated polymer [poly(4,4' -dipentoxy-2,2' bithiophe ne)] as a function of the electrochemical doping level, over a wide ra nge of the carrier concentration (from similar to 10(15) to similar to 10(19) cm(-3)). Very high values were obtained for the carrier mobili ty (from 10(2) to 10(-1) cm(2) V-1 s(-1)), when compared with those re ported in the literature for organic materials. Furthermore, an invers e relationship between mobility and carrier concentration was found. ( C) 1998 American Institute of Physics. [S0003-6951(98)04828-1].
