Abstract
Coscinodon calyptratus (Drumm.) Kindb., previously considered endemic to western North America, is reported from the Himalayas and Kazakstan in Asia, Armenia in Caucasus and the South Island of New Zealand. The species is autoicous, not dioicous as commonly stated.
