Abstract
We find a type of normal domain in composite superconductors-a traveli ng rectangular domain. Using the effective circuit model we study in d etail the dynamics of this domain. We derive an analytical solution fo r the propagation velocity and the length of a traveling rectangular d omain. Current-voltage characteristics are calculated for a supercondu ctor with a rectangular domain. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics , [S0021-8979(98)03811-0]
