Abstract
Two types of storage phosphors-KCl:Eu and BaFBr:Eu-were investigated w ith respect to the application as an imaging diagnostic in the soft x- ray region. Therefore the dependencies of storage phosphor structure o n the sensitivity and spatial resolution were investigated at 0.15 nm. The results reveal that it is possible to improve spatial resolution in comparison to commercial storage phosphors used for medical diagnos tics. Furthermore, the sensitivity of storage phosphors was measured i n the wavelength range of 0.07-14 nm with three different x-ray facili ties. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
