Abstract
The influence of nitrate ions on the loss in specific surface area of uranium trioxide, obtained by thermal decomposition of ammonium diuran ate, was studied at 300-degrees-C. This study showed that an increasin g content of nitrate ions enhanced the textural evolution of uranium t rioxide, giving a faster loss in surface area.
