Abstract
The Venterol Formation is made up of silicoclastic units which have wt the same sequence stratigraphic acceptation. A distal body emplaced b y forced regression and a proximal, a true sandy transgressive system, can be recognized. Correlation with basinal limestone-marl cycles sug gests that this forced regression was short lived.
