Fetal abdominal wall defects are common birth defects that frequently
require special antenatal, intrapartum, and neonatal management to opt
imize perinatal outcome. The only way these appropriate management str
ategies can be fully implemented is through antenatal diagnosis. This
article provides insight into methods to identify ''at risk'' patients
as well as proposals to diagnose and categorize fetal abdominal wall
defects.
