Abstract
Total amino acids were analysed in a Luvagar (fermented sugar cane res idue) sample. This is a biotechnological product obtained from the sol id state fermentation of the residues of the sugar cane industry, that can be used as a partial replacer animal feed. The amino acids of low est concentration (g/100 DM) were: histidine (0.22), tryptophan (0.24) , methionine (0.20) and cysteine (0.05). Total amino acids represented 73% of the crude protein, the rest of the nitrogenous fractions must be subsequently evaluated.
