Available experimental data on the Ag-Cu-O system have been reviewed a
nd an optimized thermodynamic description is presented. The Ag-Cu-O sy
stem does not contain any ternary solid phases and is characterized by
a miscibility gap between the liquid metal phase and the liquid oxide
phase, The few experimental data are well described by the thermodyna
mic assessment. The liquid phase is described by the two-sublattice mo
del for ionic liquids and a comparison is made with the associated sol
ution model.
