We consider the parametrised quintic family of Thue equations X(X-2 -
Y-2)(X-2 - a(2)Y(2)) - Y-5 = +/-1 a is an element of Z and prove that
it only has trivial solutions for \a\ greater than or equal to 3.6 x 1
