Abstract
We study the time-dependent orientational response of a nematic liquid crystal doped with single-domain ferromagnetic particles. A set of co upled macroscopic equations describing evolution pf the director textu re, magnetization distribution and concentration of the particles unde r the change of the external field is derived. For the case of a plane layer, expressions for the main relation rates are obtained and analy zed.
