Abstract
The roots of Dipsacus asper have yielded two new triterpenoid saponins , dipsacus saponins B [1] and C [2], which have been characterized by chemical and spectral means as opyranosyl-(l-->2)-alpha-L-arabinopyran oside[1]and -rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)-alpha-L-arabinopyranoside [2].
