DRINKER TECHNOLOGY AS AN EXAMPLE OF IMPROVING PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY

This study was conducted to measure the effect of the change to nipple drinkers on the efficiency of poultry production. Data from contract growers in the Delmarva region were collected and analyzed to determin e the impact of the implementation of this new technology increased ef ficiency of the new technology indicates the advantages the industry c an achieve if it constantly seeks out the greatest efficiencies in tec hnology and other areas of production, The increase of global competit ion in poultry production makes this type of advance, important for th e U.S. poultry industry.
