Ums. Costa et al., SPREADING OF DAMAGE AND SUSCEPTIBILITY IN THE QUANTUM S=1 2 HEISENBERG-FERROMAGNET/, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 58(5), 1998, pp. 2403-2406
In this work we extend a recently proposed prescription for studying t
he dynamical properties of quantum Heisenberg ferromagnets which is ba
sed on the spreading of the damage technique. Within the Handscomb Mon
te Carlo method, we introduce a Hamming distance defined as a differen
ce in the cyclic structure of Mayers diagrams in such a way that the q
uantum nature of the Hamiltonian is accounted for. We show that the cy
clic Hamming distance is closely related to the static spin susceptibi
lity and illustrate our results by comparing them with previous two-lo
op renormalization group calculations of the susceptibility low-temper
ature behavior in two-dimensional quantum Heisenberg models.
