N. Glass et K. Davis, AN EMANCIPATORY IMPULSE - A FEMINIST POSTMODERN INTEGRATED TURNING-POINT IN NURSING RESEARCH, Advances in nursing science, 21(1), 1998, pp. 43-52
This article critiques the current debates regarding feminism, postmod
ernism, and feminist/postmodernism within nursing research. The critiq
ue classified the debates into three identifiable constructs: dissatis
faction, fragmentation, and integration. The authors propose a solutio
n from the integration debate as an emancipatory ''workable'' turning
point for nursing research. The solution is situated within feminism a
nd draws on the epistemological constructs of both modernism and postm
odernism. Nursing research is framed within the proposed ontological l
inks that characterize the integrated solution.
