Abstract
This is an explication of Newman's theory of health. The authors provi de concrete examples of its application and note its points of interse ction with certain aspects of Eastern thought and alternative medicine . Ideas from other disciplines are brought in order to illuminate Newm an's theory from a variety of perspectives. Certain aspects of the the ory the authors find problematic also are noted.
