SYNTHESIS OF 5-ANSA-ZIRCONOCENE COMPLEXES AND CRYSTAL-STRUCTURE OF [ZR(C6H4(CH2C5H4)2-1,3)CL2]

Zirconocene derivatives with interannular MeN(CH2CH2)2, C5H3N(CH2)2-2, 6 or C6H4(CH2)2-1,3 bridges were synthesised by the reaction of the co rresponding disodium salts with ZrCl4. The crystal structure of enedim ethylenebis(eta5-cyclopentadienyl)]zirconium was determined by X-ray c rystallography. The compound crystallizes in space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with cell parameters: a = 13.519(4), b = 13.671(3), c = 8.557(2) angs trom, z = 4, R = 0.034 and R' = 0.039.
