Abstract
The use of borane-derived protecting groups for aldehydes containing p yridine and phosphine functionalities allows the performance of highly enantioselective additions of functionalized diorganizincs leading to polyfunctional chiral hydroxy-pyridines and -phosphines with excellen t enantioselectivity.
