A 3 x 3 matrix of pyroelectric transducers manufactured in thick-film
technology by screen-printing a lead zirconate titanate paste on an al
umina substrate is presented. A transimpedance amplifier has been desi
gned to amplify the pyroelectric current signals. The responsivity and
pulse response of the transducers have been characterised using a 635
nm diode laser and an Nd:YAG laser (lambda = 1.06 mu m), respectively
