Abstract
A novel degradative procedure for the determination of the degree of b ranching in hyperbranched macromolecules is presented, and its versati lity and scope are demonstrated with the synthesis and characterizatio n of hyperbranched polyesters based on 4,4-bis(4'-hydroxyphenyl)pentan oic acid.
