Abstract
Some hydrophobic (including both the non-polar and polar) and hydrophi lic polymer adsorbents were designed and synthesized, and their adsorp tion properties and adsorption mechanism toward stevia glycosides were studied in great detail. The skeleton structure and polarity of the r esins had effect on the adsorption capacity and the selectivity proper ties during the adsorption of stevioside and rebaudioside A. A sweeten er with high rebaudioside A content was isolated by using the adsorpti on selectivity of the polar resins.
