Palmoplantar pustulosis associated with sternocostoclavicular hyperost
osis is characterized by asymmetrical and nonerosive involvement of th
e sternocostoclavicular joint, spine, and peripheral joints in associa
tion with palmoplantar pustulosis.(1) This seronegative arthrosteitis
has been most frequently described in the rheumatologic literature. Ma
le and female patients are affected eqully, but there tends to be a hi
gher prevalence in Japan and Scandinavian countries.(1) We present a c
ase of a 50-year-old man who presented with palmoplantar pustulosis th
at preceded his sternocostoclavicular hyperostotic symptoms by 1 to 2
years.
