DISTORTION OF A CAUSTIC TO THE PASSAGE AT A PLANE INTERFACE ANISOTROPIC ELASTIC SOLID PERFECT ELASTIC FLUID

The goal of this paper is to observe the distortion of a caustic to th e passage at an interface. More exactly, it is a question of a plane i nterface between an anisotropic elastic solid and a perfect elastic fl uid. We analyse the refraction of the elastic wave fronts emanating fr om a point source located in the solid at different distances from the interface. This study finds applications for non-destructive anisotro pic materials evaluation and for acoustical microscopy.
