Abstract
Transformations of functionalized cyclopropanes into cyclopentane deri vatives and five-membered heterocycles have been reviewed. The influen ce of substituent effects on the regio- and stereoselectivity of appro priate reactions and main approaches to preparation starting cycloprop anes have been considered.
